A reminder that the School Site Council meeting is today in Bungalow A starting at 4:30PM. We look forward to seeing members and guests at this important meeting. Playworks will be repainting the lines on our playground this Friday. End of day student pick up procedures will be the same as always with the wet-paint areas clearly marked by cones. Parents are welcome to join us for this weekly activity. Starr King Elementary School’s recently released student performance scores gave staff and the school community cause to celebrate successes in Science and Math scores. Both areas showed gains over the past several years. The recently release reports also pointed to the need to adjust how the school teaches English Language Arts. Friday, August 27th, from 1:30PM to 6:00PM, the playground will be closed so that the lines can be repainted through a corporate-school partnership made possible through Playworks.
